The YMCA used to stand for the young men’s Christian association, but has since 2010 tried to be more “genuine” and dropped the MC and A from its title, the company claims it is just trying to go by the “what everyone else calls you”, but the thinly veiled marketing campaign cannot cover up their denial of the one who made them great – Christ.
The website has all but removed any mention of Christ from the material, other than to point to the acronym of the association they used to go by and the very small print at the bottom of the page, “The YMCA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.”
Which seems to be an appeasement to those Christians who donate.
Shame on you Y, where is a young Christian man to go? I suppose the YWCA?
